Are you planning a vacation with the whole family? Tenerife with children is an excellent choice. Beautiful beaches, great weather and plenty of attractions. All this means that every member of the family, regardless of age, will find tuc something for themselves. Here’s a list of the top 10 attractions in Tenerife that are sure to delight your kids.

1. Siam Park

Considered one of the best water parks in the world, Siam Park is a true paradise for children and adults. It features a variety of slides, artificial waves for surfing and a lazy river. The park is thematically inspired by Thailand, which adds an exotic touch. The park is suitable for people of all ages, but even the smallest toddlers will find a powerhouse of attractions – slides, a beach and a heated pool. Restaurants are also available on site.

Children over 1.25 m can enjoy most attractions, but in Siam Park you will also find plenty of attractions for smaller children (from 110 cm) and for toddlers.

Siam Park is located in the south of Tenerife, in the Costa Adeje area. Tickets to Siam Park can be found here.

For those staying in the south of Tenerife, there is a free double-decker bus, which is also great fun for children. On the other hand, if you’re staying overnight in the north, you can choose an option with additional transportation from Puerto de la Cruz.

2. Loro Parque

Loro Parque is a zoo and amusement park in one. Here you’ll find amazing displays of dolphins, orcas, sea lions and a host of exotic animals such as parrots, tigers and penguins. In addition, the park offers a variety of attractions, such as rope rides, a fantastic children’s playground and the opportunity to walk in a real jungle.

The park is located in the south of Tenerife, near the village of Chayofa. For more information and tips on Jungle Park, see the post here.

Aqualand is another fantastic water park, ideal for families with younger children. Here you’ll find plenty of slides, pools and playgrounds. One of the main attractions is the dolphin shows, which are sure to delight the little ones. You can also purchase an additional option to meet the dolphins on site.

5. Butterfly house

This is a unique place on the map of attractions for children in Tenerife. More than 300 species of butterflies in one place. We recommend going there with slightly older children (from about 3 years old). For both children and adults, the opportunity to see so many different species of butterflies, touch the cocoon or see how a butterfly hatches is a beautiful experience. The Butterfly House is located in Icod de los Vinos and right next to it is the Dragon Tree along with the botanical garden, which can be a great stop for coffee and a walk.

The official website of the butterfly conservatory is here.

6. Parks and playgrounds

In Tenerife you will find many fantastic parks and playgrounds for children. Being able to play outdoors all day is quite a treat for little explorers. Keep in mind, however, that the Canarian sun can be very strong, so avoid playgrounds around midday and use sunscreen often.

If you’re looking for ideas to keep the kids entertained while you relax or go shopping, play parks can be a great idea. In the south, we recommend Pepa (Los Cristianos), Kids Planet (del Duque) or the park at Siam Mall.

7. Karting Club Tenerife

If your kids like excitement and speed, Karting Club Tenerife will be a hit. It’s a great place to spend an active day competing on a karting track. There are two karting tracks in the south of Tenerife. At Las Chafiras there are two tracks – one for children under 12 and one for those above. The ideal surface and

Among one of the most popular attractions for children in Tenerife are, of course, the beaches. Golden sand and water are a great joy for children. In the south of Tenerife, we recommend the beaches of el Camisson, las Vistas, los Cristianos and del Duque (although there are strong currents on the latter).

However, Tenerife also offers swimming enthusiasts an amazing natural pool experience. There are many of them all over the island. For parents with children, however, we recommend Alcala. The pools there are guarded, and you can see shrimp, for example, while snorkeling.

9. Parachute flight behind a motorboat

You can fly even with a 2-year-old. It’s a great adventure with a little thrill. The attraction takes place in the south of Tenerife (in Puerto Colon).

You can purchase tickets here.

10. Museo de la Ciencia y el Cosmos

The Science and Space Museum in San Cristóbal de La Laguna is a great option for a rainy day. Here children can participate in interactive exhibitions, learn more about space and science, and take part in fascinating demonstrations.
