Ascent of el Teide Volcano

It is also called the heart of Tenerife, as it is located in the center of the island. It is one of the attractions that you must see with your own eyes when spending a vacation in Tenerife. In this article, we suggest how you can visit the Teide volcano, how to prepare and give you practical tips.

There are several ways to see the Teide National Park and Volcano. Depending on your preferences, the amount of free time you have and your state of fitness, you can choose one of them:

Excursion to the Teide volcano with a cable car

If you want to see the National Park and the Teide Volcano, you can take a round trip with us, during which you can enjoy a cable car ride up to 3555 meters above sea level.

Take the cable car and climb to the top of el Teide on foot

If you want to climb to the top of the volcano, you can do it, but it requires some commitment 🙂 First of all, you need to buy an ascent by train (the same one our customers take). You can order it here. The cost of entry by train is about 45 euros round trip. Then you can cover the last part of the way on foot, but to do so you need a special permit. You can apply for it on the website here. The permit can be obtained free of charge, but you must apply for it well in advance. Only 200 permits are issued daily, and interest is high.
