Tenerife – prices

Teneryfa Las Americas

Is a Tenerife vacation today a luxury only for the wealthy? From this article you will learn what prices are in Tenerife and how to plan your trip to the Canary Islands. Where to stay, where to eat and what to see in Tenerife and how much it might cost? Tenerife prices are given for July 2025.

Prices of flights to Tenerife from Poland

There are several ways to fly to Tenerife from Poland. There are direct flights available from major cities such as Warsaw, Krakow, Katowice and Gdansk. The flight then takes about 6h. You can choose:

  • Low-cost airlines – WizzAir or Ryanair. If you live near the German border, it is also worth looking for easyJet flights from Berlin. Prices for flights to Tenerife on low-cost airlines fluctuate depending on the season and the advance notice with which you buy tickets. We noticed that the best deals usually appear 2 months before the planned trip. Flights can be found from as low as 80 euros one way without luggage.
  • LOT – as of recently, you can also fly to Tenerife on a scheduled flight. Travel by LOT is much more convenient, but it also comes with a higher price. For a round-trip flight from Warsaw in September 2025 you will pay, as of today, from 300 – 500 euros round-trip (with luggage)
  • Charter flights – quite a few travel agencies offer charter flights from Poland to Tenerife. If you’re planning a last minute vacation it’s worth taking a peek at these offers, there are often price promotions.
  • Flights with a connecting flight – this option is the most economical, but involves more logistical difficulties. You can choose to fly from Poland to Barcelona or Madrid and from there to Tenerife. However, there is often the cost of an extra night’s stay here, and the whole trip takes much longer.

Tenerife – accommodation prices

Prices for accommodation in Tenerife vary primarily depending on: location, amenities and date. If you’re wondering where to stay in Tenerife, we recommend taking a look at our free guide to the differences between the north of Tenerife and the south (you can download the ebook for free 👉 here). However, whether you choose the warmer south or the cooler but greener north, we recommend choosing the big tourist destinations (in the south – Costa Adeje, Las Americas, Los Cristianos, Puerto de Santiago, and in the north – Puerto de la Cruz). Why? That’s where you’ll find the most extensive tourist infrastructure, restaurants, stores, access to attractions and tours.

Tenerife – hotel prices

  • Airbnb – Airbnb accommodation prices range from 60 – 200 euros per night
  • Hostels – if you are looking for a budget vacation option, you can use hostels. For a shared room you will pay about 20 euros / night
  • Hotels – here the price range is very large. From 70 to even 500 euros / night. The most expensive hotel in Tenerife is the Ritz Abama. However, if you are looking for something in the middle budget in, for example, Costa Adeje, you will pay about 120 – 140 euros / night for a room.
  • Tenerife Last Minute – if you like all-inclusive vacations and have a fairly flexible calendar, you can find great deals on last minute trips to Tenerife. Usually the prices of trips that take place in the next day or two are significantly reduced. Therefore, if you do not care about a specific date, check out such an option.

In Tenerife you can also find unusual accommodations – caves, bubble hotel, wooden barrels, tiny boutique hotels. Here the prices are usually higher, at about 200 euros / night.

Our advice:

  • choose accommodation in a logistically convenient place – you will save a lot of time and money on commuting
  • There are so many interesting places to see in Tenerife that you won’t spend much time in your room
  • During the New Year period, accommodation prices can be up to 3 times higher!

Tenerife – rent a car

If you feel safe behind the wheel on winding roads, then renting a car in Tenerife, if only for part of your stay, is a great option. This will allow you to explore parts of Tenerife that are not reached by tours. And believe me… it’s worth it. The views are beautiful. Prices in Tenerife in terms of car rental vary with the length of the rental and additional options.

If you’re deciding on a rental of more than 7 days, we recommend you take advantage of offers from big rental companies like Autoreisen or Cicar. If you book well in advance, you can find really good prices. In these rental companies, however, a card is required.

If you only want to rent a car for part of your stay, take a peek at our offer 👉 here. With us you will rent a car with full insurance and we will deliver it to your hotel (in Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos).

Rent a car in Tenerife – some of our tips:

  • always choose the option with full insurance – there are a lot of tourists in Tenerife and the driving style is heavily “vacation”, so to have peace of mind, it’s worth paying a few euros extra and having a free head of hair
  • Choose proven rental companies – unfortunately, you can often find dishonest offers online. If you see an offer with a very low price – check everything carefully several times. It may turn out that after adding hidden costs, the price will be the same
  • Take your physical driver’s license – in Tenerife, electronic driver’s licenses are not honored
  • We recommend choosing a car with an automatic transmission – there are a lot of steep climbs in Tenerife

Tenerife – fuel prices

In Tenerife, fuel is cheaper than in Poland. In July 2025, a liter of 95 gasoline costs about 1 – 1.15 euros. However, it is worth remembering that although the distances in Tenerife are not large, you will be driving through mountains and steep hills. And then you will burn more fuel.

Gas stations are available at almost every turn. Interestingly, you will find cheaper fuel along the highway than in small towns in the mountains. BP, Shell and several other brands of stations are available in Tenerife. The cheapest fuel we were able to find is at a Plenergy station.

Prices in Tenerife – attractions and tours

Are the attractions and tours in Tenerife worth it? Yes, why not. Just take a peek at our trip reports on IG (👉 here) or our customer reviews (👉 here). What are the prices of tours in Tenerife?

You can find the cheapest attractions in our offer for as little as 29 euros. Round trips with a Polish guide cost about 75 euros / person. But remember, the prices of tours change about twice a year. Therefore, if you’re planning a vacation in Tenerife, it’s worth booking your tours and attractions in advance to be guaranteed a place and price. When you book with us, you have the option to cancel free of charge up to 72h before your tour. Check out our full range of attractions 👉 here.

Food prices in Tenerife

Food prices in Tenerife are similar to or slightly higher than in Poland. There are noticeable differences between stores in heavily touristic areas and higher up, above the highway in supermarkets. The same is true for food in restaurants. In tourist restaurants you will pay more than, for example, in a local guachinche (see what to eat in Tenerife 👉 here). In guachinche you will pay about 15 euros / person for dinner with drinks. In a restaurant by the beach approx. 22 – 25. There are also more exclusive restaurants. Tenerife has as many as 11 restaurants recommended by Michellin.

Are prices in Tenerife high?

Certainly, Tenerife is not one of the cheapest tourist destinations. Prices in Tenerife have increased over the past few years. However, are they high? In our opinion, they are not higher than prices in Poland. If you are looking for a budget vacation option, consider a cheaper hotel or airbnb option, and spend the remaining budget on exploring and discovering this beautiful island. Eat at local restaurants, where prices are much lower than those at the boardwalk, and you’re sure to have a lot of money left in your pocket.

Our clients often tell us that they paid the same or less for a week’s vacation in Tenerife than in the Baltic Sea. It’s all a matter of good planning!
