Wondering if it’s worth going quad biking in Tenerife? We’re here to help! We went on a quad tour of the Teide volcano at sunset.
What does the quaqd excursion in Tenerife look like?
The tour starts at a specific meeting point in the south of Tenerife (Costa Adeje, Las Americas, Los Cristianos area). However, we decided to go to the “garage” ourselves, because we wanted to make a stop and enjoy the views.
Then we jumped on the quads and started our adventure!
When going quad biking in Tenerife, you have several options and routes to choose from:
- quads to Teide National Park – link here
- quads to Teide National Park sunset trip – link here
- offroad on the coast + swimming in the ocean – link here
The routes may differ slightly depending on weather conditions, among other things. We went on a sunset trip. A moment after the start of the trip, we entered a beautiful route along the forests of Tenerife. We reached a viewpoint of the peak and crater of the Teide volcano. The sun was slowly setting, illuminating the highest peak in Spain with its warm light (read more about the Teide volcano here). After a walk and listening to a few interesting facts about the volcano from the guide, we jumped back on the quads to go to a viewing point, perfect for admiring a spectacular sunset above the clouds.
Our tips
What to take with you:
- sport shoes
- driving license (driver) – if you want to take turns while driving, both people must have a valid physical driving license
- a sweatshirt and long pants – especially if you are going on a trip at sunset, then the temperature drops significantly
Plan your excursion
- arrive at the meeting point about 20-30 minutes in advance. If you decide to get to the garage on your own, first check the map and directions that we will send you with your ticket. The garage we started from was about 35-40 minutes from Costa Adeje
Is quads in Tenerife worth it and who is it for?
If you like driving and want to see Tenerife from a different perspective, we definitely recommend it! It is worth remembering, however, that this is not a trip for the youngest. You can take a child over 8 years old on a quad. Remember, however, that in the case of the sunset trip, you will arrive at the hotel around 10 – 10:30 PM.
