Description

Do you dream of conquering the highest peak in Spain and experiencing an unforgettable adventure that your friends have been telling you about? Climbing the Teide volcano by cable car is an experience that you absolutely must have during your stay in Tenerife.

Entry to the Teide volcano with cable car

On this trip, you’ll learn the fascinating history of the Teide volcano, which last erupted about 1,000 years ago. The indigenous people, the Guanches, interpreted the phenomenon as an epic battle between mythological gods, which contrasts with scientific explanations of the eruption. On the one hand, you’ll learn about legends and myths, while on the other you’ll discover scientific facts about the formation process of Teide’s summit.

During your visit to our Visitor Center, you’ll be able to relax, buy souvenirs and sample local specialties at the highest restaurant in Spain, with panoramic views of Teide National Park.

Thanks to the cable car, you’ll quickly ascend to an altitude of 3555 meters above sea level to begin a hike along the Telesforo Bravo trail, which will take you to the volcano’s crater itself. Along the way you’ll see the remnants of the last eruption, black expanses of lava, and at your feet you’ll enjoy a remarkable view of Tenerife and the nearby islands. The pervasive smell of sulfur and the heat of the fumaroles will make you feel like you are on another planet, in the heart of the volcano.

You don’t have to worry about a permit to climb the crater – everything is included in the price. Fulfill your dream and reach the summit of Teide at 3718 meters above sea level, enjoying unforgettable views and a unique atmosphere. This is an adventure that combines excitement, nature and history.

In addition, as part of your cable car ticket, you will receive free admission to the “Science and Legend” exhibition at the Visitor Center, where you will learn about Teide’s fascinating history from different perspectives – both scientific and mythical.

Enjoy a hike to the top of Teide with the Cable Car – an ideal option for those who want to reach the summit in comfort!
