Catamaran excursion to the cliffs of Los Gigantes 4.5h

A whale watching cruise in Tenerife is a 4.5 hour catamaran trip under the Los Gigantes cliffs. This is a great opportunity to meet dolphins, whales and admire the charming corners of the Tenerife coast. How does the excursion look like?

The catamaran will sail in search of whales and dolphins, heading to the mystical Los Gigantes cliffs and Masca beach, which are a must-see on the list for a Tenerife vacation. Los Gigantes are the highest cliffs in Europe – their height reaches up to 600 meters above sea level. The village of Masca, on the other hand, is a pirate village of the guanches – the original people of Tenerife. During a catamaran cruise under the cliffs of Los Gigantes , our guide will share knowledge about whales and dolphins, such as their location, diet and migrations and species.

On board the catamaran you will have a delicious Canarian dinner. Soft drinks (water, cola, etc.) and alcoholic beverages – wine, beer, sangria – are also available. Just before returning to the port of Costa Adeje, you’ll be able to relax on deck and sunbathe, as well as swim in the Atlantic Ocean, admiring the Barranco de Masca coastline.

A catamaran cruise under the cliffs of Los Gigantes is almost 100% guaranteed to see grindwalas. They inhabit the warm waters around the boat, maximizing your chances of encountering them (see photos from our trips). You may also get lucky and see larger whales, dolphins or turtles.

Where is the tour taking place?

This excursion starts at the port of Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje. Remember to arrive at the port approx. 30 minutes in advance. The exact meeting time will be given on your ticket. For those living in the south of Tenerife (Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos, Las Americas) we provide free transport from your hotel or surrounding area – if you need transport, please indicate this option in the notes on the form when booking. If you live in Puerto de la Cruz, transport to the cruise is available for an additional fee – you can also select this option when booking. PLEASE NOTE that transport from Puerto de la Cruz is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays!
